Well, it seems like the Red-headed Woodpeckers aren’t the only birds with a late batch of babies. The other day, a baby Bluebird paid a visit to the backyard.

He came along with Dad, who was engaging in an energetic splash.

Meanwhile, Junior watched for awhile from an overhead perch…

…and eventually decided to join in the action. We’ve still had temps in the 90’s here in North Georgia, so the fountain is a nice way for the birds to beat the heat.

I wonder if anymore late summer babies are going to make a surprise appearance! I sure hope so!
