Do you remember the Chestnut-sided Warbler that showed up in my last post?
Well, I saw him again the other day, perched on the farkleberry branch that hangs out over the fountain.

He posed and let me snap a few shots…

…then he dove down for a dip.

He must have spread the word about this wonderful place to bathe, because before long he was joined by a second of his kind…

…and then a third – though their expressions make me think they weren’t extending a warm welcome to the newcomer!

Altogether, there were four or five of these little warblers taking turns darting in and out of the water.

One would fly off, and another would be waiting to take its place.

At times they got downright splash happy!

I wish the lighting had been brighter so I could have gotten some crisper, clearer pictures, but it was getting ready to rain and the skies were pretty dark. Still, regardless of the lighting, I had a great time watching this fountain full of fun!
That is such great fun to see, Kathy! It inspires me to cue up Little Richard singing Splish! Splash! I was taking a bath…. They’ll all remember your fabulous Watering Hole & see you again next Spring.
I stand outside and practically beg them to stop back by on their return trip. π
they are adorable!! Especially in the farkleberry tree.
I love the way that wood looks, especially when itβs wet.
What a fun series of photos. They are beautiful little birds.
They are just the cutest!
