Beauty Hunting at Berry

Every now and then I get the urge to just head out and enjoy some non-backyard beauty, so I swing by and pick up my Mom and off we go.

Our most recent hunt took us to the campus of Berry College, where we encountered A LOT of deer. There was an abundance of youngsters…

…and a good number of handsome bucks as well.

Is it strange that I see those antlers and think to myself, “Those would make great bird perches!” Never mind, don’t answer that!

We also saw several gorgeous horses, like this lovely gal, who, with a little coaxing, trotted over to say hello.

She indulged me and let me rub her neck for a bit, and then got back to the business of nibbling on the sweet grass.

After we said goodbye to the horses, we drove farther out on the mountain campus to see the Old Mill, built back in 1930. Berry has a ton of beautiful architecture to enjoy.

But the best beauty of the day was just spending time with this lady.

Nothing beats beauty hunting with Mom.
