Peaceful…picturesque…the perfect place to escape for a little soul replenishing…that’s how I’d describe the house hubby and I rented on Moss Lake this past week.

The scenery was beautiful –

The wildlife was plentiful –

And the location was close enough for our kids to come and visit.

But if you ask Tucker and Chaco, the best part of the trip was repeatedly playing at the (in the!) lake. If we opened the door and gave the go ahead they were off to the water in a flash.

It was so much fun to watch them racing…

…and romping…

and making waves.

They were the picture of intense focus…

…and joyful abandon.

They should have carried the label – “Warning! You will get wet on this ride!”

I’m pretty sure this face is saying, “This is what I was made for!”

They were always reluctant to leave when it was time to head back to the house.

It was absolutely wonderful spending time away with this good-looking guy…

Oh – and in case you were wondering – I’ve had it wrong all these years. I thought VRBO stood for Vacation Rental By Owner, but I now have it on good authority that it stands for Vacation for Retrievers, Bring your Owners!
