I went for a walk at the “lake loop” earlier this week, and as I was making my way along the path, I noticed a bird dipping and diving in the treetops that I didn’t recognize. Turns out it was a Blackpoll Warbler – a bird that I’ve never seen in person before.

This fella was not easy to get pictures off as he mostly stayed hidden amidst the upper leaves.

But every once in awhile he would pop out and sing a few song notes.

Then he’d take off out of sight again.

Anytime I meet a new bird and get a first time photo it’s definitely a fun find!
What a great find.
I was thrilled!
How to find a gem!
Delightful!
wow! I’m impressed, those little warblers are hard to photograph!
He was tricky, but I am stubborn!
Congratulations on a plus-one bird! It is a handsome bird, and the background foliage was perfect!
Thank you!
Lovely bird and shots.
