Well, fall migration has begun, and I had a “fun first” show up the other day – a Nashville Warbler! This is the first time that I recall having one of these beauties pay a visit.

This little lovely (which I believe is a female or an immature male) was happily munching on the nearly departed sunflowers.

It was climbing about in every direction, but rarely stayed out in full view for long.

There’s always something about getting a first-time photo that gives me a burst of gladness. And who knows, maybe this Warbler was just the opening act of more fun firsts to come!
