I’ve already told ya’ll about the Black-throated Green Warbler that paid a visit to the backyard…

…and now two more wayfaring warblers have shown up – a Chestnut-sided and a Bay-breasted Warbler.
Let’s start with the Chestnut-sided Warbler, who first perched on a branch near the fountain…

…and then swooped down for a bath. I love how his coloring is almost fluorescent.

This little one was so splash happy that I can’t help but share a few more shots!

The Bay-breasted Warbler was a bit more challenging to get a clear picture of as it popped in and out among the leaves in the Post Oak tree, often disappearing amidst the glares and the shadows.

Eventually, it flew down for a quick sip of water, but it didn’t linger long.

It makes me ridiculously happy to have these little beauties choosing to make a brief layover in my backyard!
Beautiful captures Kathy. It is always a thrill to be visited by unexpected birds to our bird baths, especially when thye are just passing through.
