We haven’t had a lot of butterflies so far this summer, so I was pleased to have a Monarch stop by for a brief visit this weekend. I say “brief” because he had barely nipped at the lamb’s ear…

…and sipped at the butterfly bush…

…before a rogue dragonfly divebombed him off the blossom! Rude!

Ah well, I guess a few moments with a Monarch is better than no moments at all!
