I was out in the backyard with the labra-mutts the other day when this beautiful Hermit Thrush dropped by for a drink. He (or she) struck a perfect pose just long enough for me to snap a shot or two.
These birds are only here in the winter months, and even then, I rarely see them around, so the visit was a sweet surprise.

A beautiful capture Kathy ! Sometimes all we get is one chance to capture a shot and it is a real gift. I had not come across this bird before so I listened to its call on Youtube, and it is quite melodic.
