One of the birds that I await and eagerly watch for each fall is the Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, a beautiful little Woodpecker that is a part time resident here in North Georgia. Come mid-October, I always start keeping an eye out for their arrival.
Well, a few days ago, I had my first sighting of the season when this fella showed up.

He made a bee-line for the Bark Butter and helped himself to a hearty portion.

I’m hoping that he will be a regular visitor for the next several months, and my plan is to help raise the odds by keeping a plentiful supply of Bark Butter on hand!
He probably dreamed about that bark butter all summer and couldn’t wait to get his beak into it once he arrived!
Wouldn’t that be funny!
Great photos of an impressive looking bird! Well done👏. Kind regards…Jay😊
Thanks!
You are welcome👍
He’s so pretty!!
I agree!
Beautiful fellow!!
I love when these fall/winter woodpeckers arrive too!
