The zinnias are blooming
And so the consuming
Of nectar is now taking place

With the soaring and sipping
And darting and dipping
A whirring of wings fills the space

And I stand in awe
Of this beauty so small
bedazzled from tail to his head

And when the sun hits just right
He’s a radiant sight
With his throat all ablaze ruby red!

Amazingly photographed–so delicate and yet strong they are.
And they get quite an attitude sometimes!
Beautifully captured!
Thank you!
Splendid!
Wonderful shots!
Thank you!
Love the shots, and your poem! And thanks for the tip on zinnias, I didn’t know the hummers liked them.
