Well, we interrupt the long line of zinnia visitor posts that have been dominating the site, to bring you a bathing bird break!

This male Cardinal hopped in the fountain the other day and splashed about for a good while.

He was serious about beatin’ the heat and went about the bathing full force, repeatedly diving all the way beneath the surface.

He looked slightly disheveled, but thoroughly refreshed by the time he was finishing up.

With the temps in the mid 90’s, and not a lot of rain, the fountain has become a popular place!
