Georgia winters can have some major mood swings. Just this past week, we had a day that topped off in the 70’s, and then overnight, the temperature turned temperamental and dipped down into the 20’s! There were even some snow flurries blustering about. My poor body can’t figure out if I’m suppose to be in flip flocks or wool socks!
But the beauty of the colder weather is that the birds tend to come out in greater numbers. So, I put on my fleece lined pants and took the camera out on the deck. How about I share a dozen shots?
The first half dozen are of birds that were taking advantage of the readily available food supply, with mealworms and Bark Butter being the biggest hits.

The second six are of birds that were taking a brief feeding break and were willing to oblige me with some pretty poses.

As pretty as the posers are, I find that I do like the actions shot better. But hey, a mix of both is just fine by me!
All puffed up in the cold! 🙂
I’m delighted that you chose the wool socks! I enjoy both the first six and the second six, although if I had to choose I would prefer the pretty poses! What is the name of that pretty one in your last photograph?
That last one is a Pine Warbler. These little ones are not the least bit concerned with my presence!
