Unlike the Tiger Swallowtail… …or the Gulf Fritillary… …both of which are bold and striking… …the Long-tailed Skipper is a butterfly of subtle beauty. Doesn’t he look lovely against the pastel petals of this gladiola?
So…turns out I’m not the only Zinnia lover around! This glorious male goldfinch (and a handful of his friends) have taken quite a liking to our colorful front yard flowers. So much beauty!
