I was sorting through pictures from this past week and came across this Robin, who was looking rather stunning standing in the sunlight.
My first instinct was to say that he was handsome from head to toe…
…but then I got a better look at his legs. This fellow is in serious need of some exfoliating!
Maybe I should add some conditioner to the birdbath!
LOL! I can just see you doing that too! 🙂
Pretty sure he has leg mites…poor guy.
Poor guy! Any idea what is afflicting him, Kathy?
Seems like scaly leg mites…I have seen the same thing on a number of Robins. Wonder if they are prone to them for some reason.
Hope he pulls through! We sometimes notice one-legged robins here, wonder if this might be due to the same parasite?
I see a lot of birds that have some growth on their legs or claw, no ideal way. Nice catch.
It almost looks like he has warts on his legs! 😳 I don’t think I’ve noticed this before on a Robin. They are one of my favorite birds! ❤️
I looked it up and I think he has scaly leg mites. Yuk! I have seen it on other birds before too.
Oh, that poor bird. 😕
Omg I have never noticed this on our robins, I will have to look at their legs! Oh I bet we start to see some additives in your birdbaths lol! Gorgeous shots, Kathy.
Most Robins are fine…pretty sure this guy has scaly leg mites.
Poor guy, I hope he can get rid of his mites.
