A blur of yellow caught my attention yesterday afternoon, and I turned to find this lovely little Warbler hiding amidst the Dogwood branches. She seemed to be as curious about me as I was about her.
She came out and perched in a patch of sunlight long enough for me to fire off a few pictures. Isn’t she a beauty!
I say “she” because upon scouring my bird books, it would appear that this is a female Blackburnian Warbler en route to South America. Right now, she is sporting her fashionable fall feathered look, but come closer to breeding season her colors will darken up considerably.
I’m so glad she opted to make a brief layover in Atlanta!
Lovely shots, wonderfully sharp!
Thanks. 🙂
love her fashionable fall look while she travels! So chic!
She makes me want to go buy a new sweater in rich fall colors. 🙂
Wonderful shots of this beautiful traveler!
I was so excited she stopped by. 🙂
