I think as a finale for my Dauphin Island trip, I will simply share a collage of some of the birds that we saw as we walked along the bay in the late afternoon/early evening hours each day. I’ll include a white morph variety of a Great Blue Heron (which I verified with the president of the Mobile Bay Audubon Society) since I hadn’t seen one of these before. He is quite a cool creature.
It was such a treat to get away with my folks for a week, and spend each day exploring the island, enjoying the beauty, and encountering the birds. I know it will be a memory that I treasure for a long time to come.
REAL BEAUTY they were….
