I know I usually post about birds, but right now there are some really pretty blossoms in the backyard. At the bottom of our deck steps, we planted four hibiscus ( 2 red and 2 yellow) and these beauties are blooming like crazy.

The red ones have so many flowers cascading over each other it looks like a waterfall of petals.

And if I happen to go out just after a rain shower, when they are dotted with droplets, I think they are even prettier. Almost poetic.

Whether it’s feathers or flowers, there is something uplifting about walking outside and being greeted by beauty.
