I feel like one of those proud parents that can’t stop showing pictures of their babies…only mine are baby birds!
But they’re just so dang cute that I can’t help myself.
The latest batch of babies to arrive are some delightful Downy Woodpeckers. I have to laugh at this little gal, who is sitting in her food while Mama feeds her.
Her brother has been showing up for food as well. You can tell it’s a male by the red patch of feathers on the top of his head.
And since I’m showing baby photos…how about some more of those bossy little bluebirds beauties!
Dad keeps swooping in with food for them.
Then, when he leaves, they bicker with each other and loudly call for him to hurry up and return.
This poor fellow isn’t getting much rest!
Bluebird dads really are the best.
Okay, so I’ll try not to share baby pictures in whatever post I do next, but no promises!
