Well, typically the Towhees in my yard stay hidden beneath bushes, and dart in and out of cover at ground level, but this handsome fellow decided to show a bit of boldness and fly up to the feeding trough.

He only stayed long enough to sample some seed…

…and strike a few poses…

…then he darted back into the holly bush at the edge of the fountain.

I thanked him profusely for the privilege of taking his picture, and promised him that he and his buddies are always welcome at the backyard feeders!
