When the temps are in the teens and the flurries are falling here in Georgia, there is only one thing to do – bundle up, grab the gear, and get thyself outside to take pictures!
The sound of running water lures a lot of birds in to the backyard, like these beauties below that showed up for a drink.
Hermit Thrush

Northern Cardinal

Purple Finches

Eastern Towhee

Carolina Chickadee

Of course, a fresh supply of easy to grab and go food is a hit too.
Red-bellied Woodpecker

Yellow-rumped Warbler

Yellow-bellied Sapsucker

Pine Warbler

And there’s always several that are just perching prettily in between their food and beverage partaking.
Eastern Bluebird

Hairy Woodpecker

Purple Finch (female)

And, why not end like we started, with one more Hermit Thrush?

What a wonderful way to spend a weekend morning!
A wonderful array of visitors 🙂
Lovely
Thanks. 😊
What beautiful photos and even more beautiful birds in them. Each one is beautiful in its own way.
The snowflakes add a nice background!
It was a rare treat!
Your tittle… 🤣😂🤣 & header ❤️ .
Your selection is my lovely Sunday morning a therapy!! I enjoy seeing the small snow melt on the rocks with your variety of birds and seeing the snow flakes falling on your beautiful birds in the trees. My favorites tripled. Red-bellied Woodpecker, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, and Hermit Thrush in the water pond. ❄️-burrrds.
It was so much fun being out in the flurries – though I had to wrap my toes in a heating pad by the time I came in!
Ha! That is what I do to!
Wow…So many birds! Great photos!
Thanks!
How lucky you are to see such a wonderful variety of birds all in one morning. I’ve been enjoying your bird posts for a while and I never knew you were in Georgia, too!
I am indeed in Georgia, in the Cartersville area. 😊
All so wonderful!
Thank you!
