Croaking Crooners

Our backyard fountain has been overflowing with frogs!

Now that spring is just around the corner, these croaking crooners have been treating me to a LOUD concert every evening, and sometimes even in the afternoon.

In years past, they have seemed to stay hidden, but this year they are congregating in the upper level of the fountain and have even let me snap a few shots before disappearing beneath the surface. If you look carefully at the picture below, you should be able to find at least five of these fine amphibious fellows! (If you click on the picture you’ll be able to see it better!)

There really is something magical about sitting on the back deck and listening to the croaking cacophony. It sorta takes you back to childhood, or at least it does me, as I was one of those kids that loved to play in the creek!

This one little frog had me laughing because he was hiding in a log and kept popping his head out to see if the paparazzi had disappeared!

How about I share just a few more frog photos before I close out the post?

I must say, I’m already looking forward to tonight’s performance!

    1. They are delightful! And the one that I think is the hardest to find is hiding in the top right corner of the photo, just an eye looking out from behind a leaf. Let me know if you find it!

      1. Hmmm. I looked again, and expanded that corner. Couldn’t see that [alleged] eye! Could be my monitor doesn’t have the resolution needed. Or, could be you are nuts. [don’t know how to put smiley face without the emoji. Oh, yes I do. 🙂 ]
