Monday’s Top Ten

August has been a busy month in our household.  To be more precise, August has been an insanely busy month!  Just to give you an idea – my daughter turned 18 and left for her first year of college; my son turned 21 and started his junior year of college; my husband turns 50 this week; and we celebrate our 25th anniversary tomorrow.  So amidst all the planning and celebrating, my time to hang out with the birds has been limited.

Today, I took advantage of a bit of free time (along with some lovely weather) and sat outside with my camera in hand.  I was probably only out there for 30 or 40 minutes, but it was heavenly.

Here are my “top ten” photos of the day.

  1. Love the shots! I’m trying myself to build up a feeding area for neighboring birds to increase my chances of getting decent photos. They are starting to come around but I’ve yet to get the kind of shots you are getting. Keep up the great work!

Thanks! I culdn’t help but think of “Field of Dreams” when I read your comment…”If you build it, they will come.” 🙂

  3. Happy Anniversary and congratulations on all the milestones in your family!! Wonderful group of photos – the hummingbird is pretty amazing! You’ll have to reveal your secret for getting that shot!
