This evening, I was sorting through some pictures I had taken throughout the week and I came across this young male Red-winged Blackbird who had stopped in for a drink at the fountain.
The design on his back feathers caught my attention and I found myself thinking, “That pattern is simply divine.” Then I smiled and thought, “No, that pattern is simply Divine.”
It reminds me of drawing with chalk on black construction paper.
This fellow is handsome now, but he will be stunning when he reaches adulthood.
Wow! The colors on this bird is most AMAZING! Thank you for sharing your beautiful photos Kathy! 💙🌟🌈
He is one that is easy to overlook, but stunning if you really stop and notice. I actually thought of you when I saw his back…I thought, “I’ll bet Jill could do something artsy with this guy.”
Oh, thanks Kathy! ❤️ You made my day! 😊 The colors and patterning on this bird really grabbed my attention. 😃
Such an intricate pattern! I hope he pays you a visit again when he is an adult, I’d love to see what it looks like then.
He will be solid black with red and yellow wing bars…quite stunning. And I do hope he sticks around. 🙂
That bird is a beautiful creation! And as you say, will be even more glorious in its adulthood colors!
Simply Divine, indeed! Thank you for sharing 🙂 ❤
His is a more subtle beauty. And, as always, it is my pleasure to pass along the pictures. 🙂
I appreciate subtle beauty, so even more glad you decided to introduce us to this bird 🙂
Wow – you are right kathy! The beauty in nature! Thanks so much for sharing.
I am pretty sure the beauty of nature is one of the lifelines God has given me!
