Twice As Nice

My backyard Bluebirds have returned!

These little beauties are year round residents here in Georgia, but they disappear from time to time, usually during the summer months. I’m always so glad when they show up again.

This handsome fellow stopped in at one of the birdbaths the other day…

…but wasn’t the “test the water with the big toe” type. He got right on in and was wildly splashing about in no time at all.

But do you know what’s twice as nice???

When another Bluebird drops in to join in the action!

You can definitely tell that these two have different “birdsonalities!”

Eventually, the less exuberant of the two flew up to a feather drying limb…

…while the other kept right on making waves!

Never a dull moment, eh?

  1. Wow! These are amazing captures! We put up a bluebird house in the spring and never saw a bluebird use it. They all go next door to my neighbor’s bluebird house!

  2. Your photography of birds are beautiful. Bluebirds aren’t frequent in my area in southern Indiana so I particularly enjoyed this series of photos.

    Thank you very much!
