I had a wonderful case of the rainy day blues earlier this week!

First was a handsome Blue Jay who showed up in the drizzle to partake of some peanuts…

…followed by a male Bluebird who braved the raindrops in search of mealworms.

I felt sorry for these fellows at first, as the rain pelted down on their feathers; then I thought, “Wait a minute!  I’m standing out here too!”
Ah well…I guess the dampness didn’t deter any of us. 🙂

And just to let you know, my first instinct was to title this post “I Guess That’s Why They Call It The Blues” but I didn’t want to use Elton John songs twice in a row.  I think I have had his songs floating through my brain ever since I watched him do carpool Karaoke with James Corden!
