Grab and Go

Whenever I put out peanuts (which is every day!) I can always count on a number of birds popping in to partake of this treat.

Like this White-breasted Nuthatch, who tends to snatch up a nut and then quickly fly off to a more secluded spot to enjoy his find.

Thrashers and Red-winged Blackbirds are also the type to grab a peanut and then go elsewhere to eat.

And of course, there’s the nut loving Blue Jay…

…but who are we kidding!  These guys grab and grab and grab and grab before they go!

Peanuts are definitely a popular fare around here!
