A week ago we were just getting back from Orcas Island, where we watched whales…
…explored trails…
…and enjoyed the beauty of land and sea.
And while our trip was beyond wonderful, I think Dorothy was right when she said, “There’s no place like home!”
This afternoon I got a bit of time to take the camera out in my own front yard and was delighted to see my first Monarch of the season.
I like the splash of purple in the picture from the nearby butterfly bush.
There truly is beauty everywhere!
And now that we’re home, I guess it’s time to start daydreaming about our next adventure! π
What beautiful Monarch photos!
beautiful!
that whale photo is a BEAUTY!
AWESOME!
That monarch is just a perfect specimen, isn’t it? Do your backyard birds greet you at the door waiting for you to make a deposit of bark butter on the tree and peanuts in their feeder?
I had someone come and feed them (and the cat) while we were gone…but boy, they sure do let me know when the feeders get empty!
Sure, one day you think they’ll come knocking on the window with indignant looks on their faces.
WOWZA!! Your Monarch Butterfly photos are absolutely stunning!! β€οΈ Even hubby gave your photo a whistle of appreciation! π
I would so like to draw it!! π¦
I so hope you do draw one! π
