One pleasant surprise (among many) in my new backyard is the abundance of Juncos that are showing up.
I think because at my last house I was typically taking pictures from up on my deck, I rarely got to capture these floor feeders in photos.
They are still a bit shy around me, but I suspect they will soon learn to associate me with food!

I read that females are brown. I’ve never seen one I thought was brown, but you seem to have captured at least one!
