I am sure I am but one of many folks who pulled my cake pan out of the cupboard this Christmas Eve morning; only instead of baking a delicious Christmas dessert, I put mine outside for the birds!

You see, we lost power for a few hours last night, and since the temps were in single digits, the waterfall fountain turned into a block of ice, leaving the backyard birds without water. But, no need to fear, my ever-MacGyver like hubby was here, and remedied the situation by creating a makeshift water dish out of my baking pan and a small heater. The birds wasted no time at all in partaking!

Meanwhile, my sapsucker (whom I call “Winston”) merrily munched on Bark Butter. He has quickly become a constant fixture!
