Fuzzy, feisty, furry, furtive
Uninvited thieves of seed
Bold and brazen bushy bandits
Feast away with gluttonous greed.

Racing, roguish, rebel rodents
Whiskers laced with suet smear
Cheeks puffed out with pilfered peanuts
They’ve worn out their welcome here!

Guilty gobblers, grievous gorgers
Irritants of ill-repute
There’s no denying they’re delinquent
But these criminals are awfully cute!
Spoken from a true birder!
Oh Kathy – you have a real gift with poetry! Keep on writing.
Thanks for the kind words. 😊
I love all the layers to your poem, and all the different words you found to describe the bird feeder’s nemesis.
Thank you!
Oh, so true! 😀
Right!
Oh those greedy little varmits. They just cannot leave our bird feeders alone.
Ha! What a talented poetographer!
