Are any of you going to attempt the April Thirty-Bird Challenge?
What? You’ve never heard of it?
Well, that’s because I am totally making it up!
But I thought, since April has thirty days, why not see if I can spot thirty different kinds of birds over the course of the month and post pictures of them.
The rules are simple –
1) In order to post a picture of the bird, I actually have to see it in April of 2023
and
2) I have to see it in the area where I live…let’s say within about a half hour radius, since I don’t think I’ll find 30 different birds in my backyard alone.
I would imagine that some days I’ll post a single bird, some days I’ll post several birds, and some days I won’t post at all – but the goal will be to see and share thirty birds by the time April comes to an end.
Anyone wanna join me in the challenge? I’d love to see birds from your neck of the woods!
Even if you don’t have a blog site, you can just list the birds you’ve seen in the comments section. If nothing else, it’s a great excuse to get outside and enjoy some beauty!
And, since it doesn’t seem right to have a post without some sort of picture, how about I close with the cutest little birdie I know – my grand-girlie enjoying some bubbles!

I wonder which bird I’ll end up seeing first!
Cool! Might be gmhard to get a puc of all of them, though. But fun to try.
Obviously I should read my comment before pushing send.
I’m thinking it will make me have to do a bit of exploring, which should be fun. 🙂
I’m very excited to see which thirty+ birds you’ll be ticking through the month, Kathy!
