I think the itty bitty Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher validates calling this a Thirty-Bird Challenge!

These little birds are delightful to watch, but so difficult to photograph as they dart in and out and all about the leafy treetops looking for unsuspecting insects to eat.


They don’t sit still for a second, so most of my pictures of them end up having part of the bird obstructed or obscured.

Still, they are fascinating to watch, and it’s a fun challenge to try and beat them at their “catch me if you can” game. I am happy to have them as bird #26 in the Challenge.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen one, or maybe I have and didn’t realize what it was.
I love the last shot especially, with that little eye peeping through the foliage!
