There is a band of Pine Warblers in my backyard waging all out war on one another!
There’s usually about a dozen of them, perched in various places in their fighter pilot poses…

…just waiting to dive-bomb another.

When they are not in attack mode, they are cautiously glancing around to make sure they aren’t the next target!

The funny thing is, every so often they seem to call a temporary truce – just long enough to grab a bite to eat…

…or get a quick drink. (This one below is drinking from the new stone water dish I got for Christmas!)

Then, it’s back to assuming a battle ready pose…

…ready for take-off!

I wish I could convince them to just play nicely, but since I know they won’t listen, I’ll just enjoy watching their Warbler warfare!

Great photos, Kathy!
How cute!
I’m so jealous! I never see warblers in New Jersey during the winter and only one that’s ever graced the woods in my backyard during the year was a single Yellow-rumped Warbler (*Setophaga coronata*). These shots are absolutely stunning, Kathy!
Thank you! And, I’m hoping I get some of those Yellow-rumped Warblers this winter. They’ve been slow to arrive this year!
