I posted some pictures of a Yellow-rumped Warbler last month, but I really didn’t get any photos that truly displayed this bird’s buttery booty. So, when one of these little beauties stopped by the other day for a dip in the fountain, I had a chance to remedy that!

You can see that they not only have yellow patches on their rumps, but also under their wings and on the top of their heads.

I guess this gives us picture proof from whence came the name!
