Saw this Great Blue Heron at Berry College yesterday and felt like sharing his picture. They are a fun bird to photograph (especially for beginners like myself) because they are both statue-like and statuesque!

If we have too many dreary days in a row, I find myself turning all the lights on. I heard someone refer to the month as “Januweary” the other day. I am thankful that we usually have sunny days mixed in with the gray here in Georgia.
“Januweary” is a perfect description! And soon we will be in Februweary! LOL
