Great Blue Heron

Saw this Great Blue Heron at Berry College yesterday and felt like sharing his picture.  They are a fun bird to photograph (especially for beginners like myself) because they are both statue-like and statuesque!

  1. Hello Kathy,
What a wonderful shots! I agree, great blue herons are so much fun to photograph.
They always look so poised and regal 🙂

  2. Stunning! And it looks like you got a bit more sun. I will try not to be jealous. We are in our January drearies and my SAD is settling in full force! Ugh! I love your regal heron. ❤

If we have too many dreary days in a row, I find myself turning all the lights on. I heard someone refer to the month as “Januweary” the other day. I am thankful that we usually have sunny days mixed in with the gray here in Georgia.

  4. Great shot! It’s nice of them to stay so still, isn’t it?!?
