You know how the saying goes – Everything that glitters isn’t gold.
Well, the reverse is true as well – Everything that’s gold doesn’t necessarily glitter…sometimes it gleams! Like the golden eye of this Brown Thrasher.
Though his gleaming glare and his blade-like beak give him a rather sinister appearance, I have found these birds to be more bashful than brutish.
This guy typically shows up to enjoy some of the Bark Butter that I spread on the branch, but if someone else arrives, he tends to be quick to relinquish the territory.
I love his rich coppers and creams against the blurry backdrop of the autumn leaves.
Wonderful photos, you’ve certainly caught his steely look.
He’s definitely not as threatening as he looks.
Oh Kathy! GORGEOUS! The lighting is beautiful!
I liked his colors against the background colors. 😊
You take such beautiful pictures. He really has interesting eyes.
Thank you. And I have to agree that his eyes are intriguing. 😊
Beautiful bird Kathy, well shot!
Beautiful, Kathy!
That’s a sharp way of thikning about it.
