There is a secluded lake at the end of our neighborhood, and every once in awhile I sit with my camera in one of the backyards (with permission, of course) that overlooks this great place for bird watching.
The other day, I saw this Great Blue Heron creeping through the water in search of its morning meal. It was refreshing to be still and watch this fellow as he slowly put one foot in front of the other.
Taking pictures of this unhurried Heron blessed me with some time to be unhurried too, and that’s always a good thing. 🙂
Love the pics and prose…
Great photos Kathy! Wow!
LOL 😄 Just imagined you sitting there without permission. That would probably not really help an unhurried feeling… 😉 Wonderful pictures, they transport the calm and peaceful feeling perfectly!!!
I would sit back there everyday if I could, but I think that would be wearing out my welcome!
Beautiful, and peaceful. So glad you shared them. 💜
They are so stately, aren’t they? 🙂
Stately is definitely a good word. 🙂
