There is a an old mill on the road to a friend’s house that I must have passed a thousand times. It’s a peaceful scene that never fails to stir something in my soul. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve said, “One day I’m going to stop and take a picture of this place.”
Well, “one day” happened this past weekend. Hubby and I were headed to the Apple Festival in search of some peach preserves, and we stopped on the way so I could take a few pictures in the early hours of the morning.
See what I mean about it being peaceful?
If I had a bucket list, I could now cross off -“Take picture of old mill.”
But it I had a bucket list, I think I’d have to add – “Go back to old mill and take more pictures!”
Seriously though, won’t this be a lovely scene when the leaves are in their autumn glory?
So beautiful! Thank you for sharing these peaceful photos Kathy! 🙂
You are most welcome. 🙂
Great photos. I would add to your bucket list to live in the mill.More captures would be welcome for such an atmospheric place.
Now there’s a good thought! 🙂
WOW!!! This is breathtaking. Beautiful capture! Seems we had similar weekends.
I thought that same thing when I saw your photos. 🙂
Yours was so rustic and beautiful – loved it!!!! Would love to see that.
This picture is an artists dream, yes I agree, to take photos of this scene in various light of the day would be wonderful, and at least one of these would hang on the wall enlarged as a canvas print:-)
Hmm…one to hang on the wall…now there’s a thought.
Like a postcard. (K)
Beautiful!

It is such a peaceful scene. I am glad I finally stopped to try and capture it in a picture. 🙂
