The feathers seemed to match the weather in my backyard yesterday. When I went out to fill the feeders, the skies were gray and overcast and the first four birds to show up seemed color coordinated with the conditions.
Even the young Jay seemed subdued in his tones.
The gray skies didn’t last long though, and as soon as the sun popped through the clouds Mr. Vibrant himself showed up in all his glory.
He really is like a ray of sunshine whenever he makes an appearance!

It’s funny you should say that…this fellow spent more time guarding the branch than eating the food. He had quite an attitude!
