When Skies Are Gray

Hallelujah! There was no rain today! The sky was still overcast, but no droplets were falling from the clouds.  It was great to be able to go outside and fill the feeders and refresh the birdbaths, and it was delightful to stand on the deck with my camera and take a few pictures.

Here are several birds that stood still long enough for me to get a photo.

Tufted Titmouse

Eastern Towhee

American Goldfinch

Downy Woodpecker

Blue Jay

American Robin

Northern Cardinal

Oh…and this fellow stopped by as well.

Although there was little sunshine to be seen, these guys “make me happy when skies are gray.”

Look at those stuffed cheek punches on the chipmunk. He will have enough food for the whole winter just visiting your backyard.

Yeah, that was supposed to be cheek pouches, silly iPad!

  6. Beautiful!!! Seems like your pictures are getting more and more beautiful!
