I refilled the feeders (and branches) this morning, and then sat back to watch my very own Hunger Games.
The Mockingbird was the first to arrive, grabbing both food and beverage…
…with the Blue Jay was close behind, scarfing up his usual fare.
Several other cast members came to call as well.

The Red-bellied Woodpecker started off upside down…maybe no coffee yet?…
…and then switched to right side up.
It was a delightful way to start the weekend. Β And speaking of weekends, when it comes to yours being delightful, “May the odds be ever in your favor!”
Super captures, Kathy. You must be feeding all the right stuff.
I do put out quite a spread for them! π
Beautiful shots!
Thanks! I am spoiled to have beautiful subjects. π
Looks like a happy group! π
Indeed!
delightful indeed! π I swear that first one winked at me π
He’s quite the flirt, so I wouldn’t put it past him!
Your bluebirds are always my favorites. Must have that GA glow!
I like them too. They are busy, bossy, and oh so beautiful!
Beautiful photos Kathy! I like the description too π
Glad you enjoyed it. π
I hope the rest of your weekend stays as beautifully bountiful as it started, Kathy!
Why thank you. π
Delightful captures Kathy.
Thanks. Always nice to be able to grab a little “phototherapy.”
Wonderful collection of amazing birds in your own back yard. So very beautiful every one of them.
Winter here in Georgia is a great time for getting bird pictures. π
I agree the light is softer too.
All so lovely, especially the Blue Jays! I was trying to capture those today, haven’t checked yet but I’m not optimistic, lol.
These are so beautiful pictures!
They’ve inspired me to try to paint them. Would you mind if I post my drawings/paintings of some of your pictures at my blog (https://doityourself88.wordpress.com/) ? (I would link them to these pictures).
It always blesses me when someone paints or draws one of my pictures. Enjoy! π
Thanks π
