Pretty Posers (And Lounging Labra-mutts)

As I stood outside, enjoying a sunny spring afternoon, a handful of birds popped in and were willing to pose.

Red-winged Blackbird
Carolina Chickadee
Blue Jay
Northern Cardinal
American Robin

But the birds and I weren’t the only ones enjoying the lovely spring weather – my two labra-mutts were happy to be out with me, soaking up the sunshine.

Chaco – my cocoa-colored princess
Tucker – my beautiful black beast

I’m not sure how “helpful” it is having the dogs outside with me while I am trying to take pictures, but they are my constant compainions (misspelling intentional!) and it’s hard to resist when they want to be included.

  1. I have the same issue. Princess Katie wants to be near me all the time. Especially if I have the camera and there are, potentially, treats involved.

    1. My dogs don’t seem to care about any of the birds except for crows – which perch nearby and “bark” at them. They guard the yard from chipmunks and squirrels.

  2. Thank you for your beautiful photos, Kathy! I’m so glad my favorite bird, the robin is included in the lineup. Your dogs are beautiful!
