An Unpacking Pause

I’ve taken an unpacking pause the last several days…

First, to celebrate Christmas with my family yesterday…

(In case you’re curious, hubby and I are in the center, my son and daughter-in-love are on our left, my daughter, grandgirlie, and son-in-love are on our right, and my folks are the bookends!)

And then, to get outside this afternoon and enjoy the beautiful weather and snap a few shots of whatever birds stopped by to visit. Here are a few who made an appearance.

House Finch
Downy Woodpecker
White-breasted Nuthatch
Pine Warbler
Brown-headed Nuthatch

Tomorrow, it will be back to unloading boxes, but for today, I am oh so grateful for both of these unpacking pauses!

  1. Beautiful family; beautiful birds. Enjoy your time together — you’ll have lots of time to unpack. Love the Nuthatches.

  2. A new follower after just reading your comment and lovely poem on Mr. Mike’s Winter Bluebirds post. Oh sorry…Mr. Mike, as my Grandson Benjamin calls him, is Mike Powell. I am pleased to meet you and your beautiful family. I look forward to viewing your posts and sharing your excellent photography with Benjamin. Thank-you! P.S. It seems only fair to warn you that I am of a very quotatious nature. “The key to a wonderful life is to never stop wandering into wonder.” – Suzy Kassem.

  3. Thank you for sharing the photo of your lovely family. So nice that we can start getting together again, albeit with some restrictions. You are also so lucky to have so many beautiful birds in yard.
