I’ve taken an unpacking pause the last several days…
First, to celebrate Christmas with my family yesterday…

And then, to get outside this afternoon and enjoy the beautiful weather and snap a few shots of whatever birds stopped by to visit. Here are a few who made an appearance.

Tomorrow, it will be back to unloading boxes, but for today, I am oh so grateful for both of these unpacking pauses!
Beautiful family; beautiful birds. Enjoy your time together — you’ll have lots of time to unpack. Love the Nuthatches.
I’m going to have to read up on pine warblers. I would confuse them with winter goldfinches.
What a marvelous photo of your beautiful family, Kathy! And the photos of your bird visitors are always outstanding! Thank you for sharing!
Beautiful portraits of the birds, I especially like the Pine Warbler !
Thanks! I am just now getting ready to dedicate a whole post to this stunning little fella!
A new follower after just reading your comment and lovely poem on Mr. Mike’s Winter Bluebirds post. Oh sorry…Mr. Mike, as my Grandson Benjamin calls him, is Mike Powell. I am pleased to meet you and your beautiful family. I look forward to viewing your posts and sharing your excellent photography with Benjamin. Thank-you! P.S. It seems only fair to warn you that I am of a very quotatious nature. “The key to a wonderful life is to never stop wandering into wonder.” – Suzy Kassem.
Welcome. Glad to have you and Benjamin join the journey. (And I look forward to the quotes!)
Thank you for sharing the photo of your lovely family. So nice that we can start getting together again, albeit with some restrictions. You are also so lucky to have so many beautiful birds in yard.
It was such a blessing to be able to get together with family. And I am definitely enjoying meeting my new backyard birds.
