I took the dogs outside in the backyard after dinner, just as the sun was getting ready to set. When I saw that there was a bit of a bird flurry at the feeders, I picked up my camera hoping to capture the last bit of the day’s light.
Some birds were just arriving…

some were flying away…

while others were perched and singing their evening song.

This Junco was waiting patiently for his turn at the Bark Butter…

the Bluebirds, as usual, were striking beautiful poses…

and this Red-bellied Woodpecker came in for one last bite to eat.

What a lovely way to end the day!
So perfect! They still do all thst posing and visiting while the fog is out there? Only the titmouse and chickadee are that brave around here.
It honestly wasn’t foggy, just really dim lighting. I’ll have to keep my eyes open as to who shows up in the fog!
You take wonderful photos!
Thanks for the encouragement!
I love seeing your pictures and the different kinds of birds. Please could you tell me what the bark butter is? I don’t think we have it here in the UK.
Bark Butter is definitely a bird favorite. It’s a nutty/suet type spread that I buy from a store called Wild Birds Unlimited.
Thank you, I will look for it here.
