The Joy Of Beauty Shared

I love being outside, enjoying the beauty of God’s creation.  It brings me joy.
I love taking pictures of this beauty and sharing it with others.  This increases my joy.
But when someone else enjoys the beauty I have shared and is inspired to create and share something beautiful of their own – well – my joy overflows!

My friend Teresa, a creative individual and a truly lovely lady, has turned two of my photographs into paintings.  The first is of a deer on the campus of Berry College.  Here is my photo…

…and here is her painting.  Isn’t it lovely?

The second is of a Tufted Titmouse perched in a Crepe Myrtle in my front yard.  Here is my photo…

I am always in awe when someone is able to draw or paint something with such skill.  I am pretty good at tracing and can color in the lines, but producing a painting is well beyond my ability!

I really can’t tell you how much this makes me smile. When beauty shared becomes beauty multiplied joy is indeed abundant!

By the way, rumor has it that the creative soul over at http://createarteveryday.com/ might sketch or paint the Grosbeak from my previous post.  Stay tuned!

  1. Your friend is certainly talented! *biting nails*

Looking forward to trying your beautiful grosbeak. Thanks for sharing your lovely photos and love of nature with us!

  2. You are so right, beauty shared is beauty multiplied! I have a woman from my church that paints pictures from my bird photos, but she has yet to show me one! And another friend just asked if she could use my photos for sketching! 🙂 Creation is so inspiring and it’s awesome to see that inspiration being passed on from person to person!
