So, I heard that the 8th of each month is “Draw a Bird Day” – and although my own creative captures remain courtesy of Canon, my daughter has spent her college break playing around with some acrylic paints she got for Christmas.
Here are four birds she painted from my Flicker photos.
Can I just tell you how much this makes me smile!
She heads back Monday and I am going to miss her, so say a prayer for me. 🙂
Those pictures are so lovely! I especially like the woodpecker, the colours look wonderful together!
I passed along your compliment. 🙂
OMG! They are beautiful, and it makes my Momma heart smile too!!!!! ❤
There’s just something about sharing our joys with our children, no matter how old they are.
I couldn’t agree more!!! 🙂 ❤
Your daughter is a wonderful painter! Each one of these are beautiful! 🙂
She’s a pretty creative gal. Not sure where the painting skills came from, but it wasn’t from me!
Gorgeous paintings, smile away! Enjoy the weekend together!
Thankfully, her college is close enough that I can sneak in a few visits!
Wow, I’m so glad you shared these, Kathy! You must just be beaming all over!!! Give her a big hug from her Auntie Laura! ❤ And I am praying already. I know how you feel exactly. Take care of you and enjoy the weekend, my friend!
I passed along the hug from Auntie Laura, which made her smile!
I’m so glad! Hehe! Have a wonderful weekend, both of you! Mine will be here in a few hours also and has to leave Sunday so I’ll be savoring the moments!
Oh, your poor mom’s heart! Luckily you’ll have these beautiful paintings to keep close!
I feel blessed that we have the kind of relationship where I miss her when she’s gone. 🙂
Paintings are impressive. You’re both in my prayers.
Thanks – for both sentiments. 🙂
Your photos are very inspirational and these are great interpretations…I’ll be sure to remember to link them to the DABD summary next week.
My daughter has one more week off…always sad when the absence settles in again. (K)
Hope you enjoy this next week together. 🙂
I’m sure we will…(or I will anyway).
What a lovely post on so many levels.
Thank you!
